2010 NPC Junior Nationals – 1 Week Out
The days are flying by! One week out today!!! I am feeling happy, accomplished and ready to leave already! But, I will have to wait until Tuesday night to take off. Even with everything in place and taken care of, FOR SURE I can use a few more days of routine practice with some full outs in my new routine outfit. Yes, the beautiful IFBB Pro Sylvia Tremblay from Canada made me the perfect costume! I got it in the mail on Wednesday, and I could not contain my excitement when I first saw it! These last days of training are going to be filled with much more fun compared to the earliest days of prep. It is always the case with well planned contest prep training. Seeing the outfit for sure made things more REAL! YEP! It’s time to put on a great show for everyone who has been supporting me through this journey, my husband, my son, my dear friends, and my close and not so close family.
I am proud of how much I have accomplished and I have been able to overcome, but I WOULD HAVE NOT been able to get here today without the infinite support of my trainer, nutritionist, and husband, Shawn. He is THE ONE who gave me the strength to get back up when I fell deep after Fitness Nationals last year. Yes, it was a big disappointment for me, for SO MANY reasons. My world was shaken and I was crushed. Everyday thereafter, I reached out. I re-embraced my life, one day at the time, and began retraining my body, and most importantly, my mind. So, wearing my beautifull outfit while practicing my routine feels like putting a beautifull shiny bow on a precious gift. The precious gift is the better me that I am today with so much hope to mature into an even better me every day of my life; the ability to give much more to the people around me, those same people who love me, and support me. Thank you Shawn for that precious gift!
If you are my friend you know you have been there for me when I needed you, so thank YOU for helping get back here today.
Thank you to my coach Tanji for giving me so much of her time during those conversations about the emotional struggles a fitness competitor often encounters during her journey. Your words gave me strength.
Thank you, little Sean, I am so blessed to have such a loving son. You are my motivation and inspiration.
Me and Sean.
Thank you Heather for being there for me when I needed your motivation. And, thank you to all of my Save Fitness teammates for all of their encouraging messages and comments they have been sending me! You all helped me going!
